Will our grandson ever see an Independent Scotland?

March has been a busy month and writing hasn’t been a top priority.

On Wednesday afternoon of 15th March our grandson entered the world and everything else took a back seat.

Two days earlier the ballot for the SNP leadership opened and we were subject to two weeks of some pretty dire campaigning from the three candidates.

Humza Yousaf is now set to be sworn in as the new First Minister.

He proclaimed himself as the ‘continuity’ candidate. So after nine years of tried and failed policies under Nicola Sturgeon, SNP members have ensured we’re going to be treated to more of the same. Astonishing and such a shame. Whether or not you agree with the other candidates views, this was an opportunity for Scotland to move forward.

And you can say goodbye to any hope of independence for the foreseeable future.
