The Island Bistro

The Island Bistro has good reviews. It is still sporting the same menu that it had on our last visit in 2019. Warning or not?
I opted for the same dish as I had last time as it was good – Rabbit in Mustard Sauce. To sum it up, this was a tough little bunny. Elmer Fudd briefly sprung to mind. The other main, Curried Chicken and Pineapple Risotto was ‘fine’. We shared the Tropical Prawn Cocktail starter, feverishly searching the plate to see who could find the first prawn.
Friendly enough service, nice wine and nice wine glasses, but overall, a little disappointing. Shame. 6/10
