So this is a holiday tradition we need to break quickly. ‘First’ days on our recent travels have invariably been filled with the wet stuff. Lanzarote is no different. No sooner had we left the airport terminal than it began to rain. That was two days ago. The rain showers continue and the wind is relentless. It’s a cold island at this time of the year. Hopefully we will break 16 degrees tomorrow. Scotland to Lanzarote is 2000 miles. Another 2000 miles we could have been at the equator.
Off to buy puffer jackets tomorrow.
