I’m not sure this post belongs here, it’s certainly got nothing to do with retirement. However, I happened to notice that Galaxy Quest is showing on Film Four tonight (Friday). I think it’s a gem of a movie, and if you haven’t seen it you could do worse than take a look.
The film was created as a spoof and an homage to sci-fi series and films. It stars Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell, Tim Allen, Tony Shalhoub, Daryl Mitchell, and Sigourney Weaver, who do utmost justice to their characters and play their respective roles with absolute perfection.
The movie is made in the same style as that of ‘Star Trek’ and this propelled ‘Galaxy Quest’ to become America’s Number 1 Science Fiction Cult Classic’.
