“There’s never enough time to do all the nothing you want.”
Bill Waterson, Calvin & Hobbes

So, what are you going to do when you retire?
I heard that question more than a few times in my run up to retirement. And I replied, “I don’t know yet but I’m working on it”. Well I play bowls, and that will fill a few hours a week, maybe more than a few, but there isn’t anything else to fall back on. So I (we) need to come up with something new and exciting; this is, after all, a once in a lifetime opportunity.
There are a host of websites filled with lists of exciting things to do in retirement. Aye, right.
(I might explore some of these things later)
Pot-holing, bungee jumping, deep-sea diving. Sorry, but I plan to live a while. No rising waters, snapped bungee cords or leaky airlines for me, thank you very much
Writing this blog is hard enough, but I plan to keep it going. I haven’t splashed out £2.34 on a domain name to give up.
